When we set out to design the new website, we wanted to make it an asset for local businesses; something you can use to promote yourselves as we all work to promote Middlebury. There are two ways for Middlebury businesses to use the site on a regular basis: the event calendar and the individual business pages.

All summer, volunteers have been busy creating a list of retail/dining/beverage/hospitality businesses to include on the site, but we may have missed some. If your business falls under one of those categories and you don’t see it on the website, please let us know ASAP.

So far, the majority of these listings just include basic information so we need your help to make each business listing stand out. The best part? It’s free and includes every business in Middlebury in those industries. If you want to enhance your business page, here’s what we need:

  1. A 2-3 paragraph blurb about your retail/restaurant/hospitality business
  2. A horizontal image
  3. Your website, phone number, address and business hours
  4. A panoramic image, if you have one. These will go along the top of your page and make the page look really great. We know a lot of businesses do not have these images readily available but if you do or can take one, please send it to us and we’ll put it up!

You can email everything to us at BMP@bettermiddleburypartnership.org whenever you want to update your listing.

Another way businesses can use the site to their advantage is to submit events to the new Community Calendar. Follow this link to post an event and let people know about sales, specials, or other events your business is hosting all year round.

Feel free to get in touch at any time with questions about your business page, posting events or anything else related to the website.
