Live Music + Other Entertainment
By Karen Duguay, Better Middlebury Partnership
For a small downtown, we have an abundance of live entertainment options, courtesy of many of our local restaurants. And, I’ve been told by several business owners that the live entertainment they offer is in direct response to customer feedback…so if you have an idea share it with them. Here are a few options that I hear about-but be sure to let us know about your favorites in the Middlebury area if they aren’t on this list!
Notte, (pronounced [no·tay], the Italian word for ‘night’), occupies the space of the former Two Brothers Lounge. With weekly karaoke (Tuesdays at 9:00pm) as well as weekly trivia (Wednesdays 7:00-9:00pm), Notte also features regular live music from local favorites. Combined with DJs, open mic nights, craft cocktails and a full menu served until 11pm (with late night slices available until the music ends!), Notte is a consistent entertainment option in the downtown. Coriander
The crew at Coriander (Washington St next to the Co-op) have begun bringing in live music to complement the delicious cuisine. Be sure to check their website, coriandermiddlebury.com, for additional events like wine pairing and other special dinners.
