Tool Training is back as we reopen the Woodworking Lab. Tool Training is a one-night prerequisite for new participants to use our Woodworking Lab.

* 5:00-5:45pm – Intro to the shop and properties of wood.

* 5:45-6:30pm – Delta 8″ jointer use and safety

* 6:30-7:00pm – 24″ Powermatic planer

* 7:00-8:00pm – 10″ Table saw

* 8:00-9:00pm Band saw

Participants are requested to arrive wearing short sleeves, long pants, closed-toed shoes, and have long hair tied back. This is for your safety as well as the safety of others in the Lab. Children 16-18 are welcome if accompanied by an adult, they will need to register separately.

Due to COVID-19, pre-registration is required. Instructions for arriving and working safely at The Makery are included in your confirmation email.

Limit of 6 participants to socially distance with the instructor.
