We received a lovely message last week from Mary Hogan First Grade teacher Mellissa Flint:

“On Friday, December 13th, I would like to take my kids on a walking field trip through Main St. We plan to examine what kinds of shops make a community. Would you be able to open the cocoa hut on Friday the 13th for a little bit?…Kindly, Melissa.” That was hard to resist, so on Friday morning we opened the hut and served candy canes and cookies to nearly 100 First Graders. It’s at times like these we reflect on how fortunate we are to be in this role. Image shows Mary Hogan First Graders enjoying their visit to Main Street on Friday.
