Kelly and I speak on the radio on a monthly basis courtesy of Amanda at 92.1 ( we’ll see you tomorrow bright and breezy Amanda!) and as we were compiling a list of everything that is happening over the next six weeks, we are reflecting on the vibrancy of summers in Midd! Our town continues to be packed with things to see and do. This week, the Henry Sheldon Museum continues its Brown Bag Talk series with Wallpaper Revealed on Thursday at 12.30pm, while Wednesday evenings mean another adventure with the Slow Rollers, meeting at Little Seed at 6 p.m. Every Friday, Fancy Fridays at the Swift House offer the perfect way to start the weekend.
There are plenty of reasons to explore downtown over the coming weeks, from The Odyssey and family programming at the Marquis Theater to 1776 and the Battle of the Bands at Town Hall Theater. Don’t forget Where’s Waldo? courtesy of the VBS continues through the end of July, plus monthly Henry Sheldon walking tours, and our three weekly markets, with a special SILENT DISCO run by Come Alive Outside 3-7pm on Triangle Park on the 27th of August! Looking ahead, Foodaroo returns on August 2, First Friday on August 7 includes a special book talk and signing at the Henry Sheldon Museum, and the Co Op celebrates it’s 50th birthday on the 22nd of August at Triangle park and the Town Hall Theater. Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival arrives August 26–30. The summer continues with the grand opening of the beautifully restored Ilsley Public Library on August 29, with a Book Cart Parade on August the 6th down Main Street.
