If there’s one person who embodies the creative spirit and generosity of Middlebury, it’s Serena Kim. You may know her as the co-owner of Swift House Inn, where hospitality and community come first. Or you might have danced to her DJ sets that light up hotspots like Crooked Ladle, the Henry Sheldon Museum, and Town Hall Theater.

Serena shows up—time and again—for Middlebury. Whether she’s planning gatherings that bring neighbors together, or putting her heart into local business, she brings joy, creativity, and connection everywhere she goes. She’s the interim board chair of the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival, serves on the board of the Addison Independent Trust, and is writing a book about her inn’s fascinating history in Middlebury. Her recent pause on “Fancy Fridays” at Swift House Inn is because she’s in such high demand for private events and community gigs. Go DJ Serena!

We are deeply grateful for Serena’s energy and dedication to making Middlebury a place where art, music, and hospitality thrive. Keep an eye out for her next appearances—because when Serena’s involved, you know it will be lit.
