Hello, May!

We’ve officially sprung into the season with our first collaborative market of the year—and while the rain made a surprise appearance (classic Vermont!), it didn’t dampen our spirits. From live music on the Henry Sheldon porch courtesy of the always-fabulous Liz Reedy, to creative joy with Kelly Hickey’s pom-pom craft station (and her bunting-adorned tent that stole the show), it was a celebration of community, creativity, and connection.

We welcomed 12 wonderful vendors, including fresh faces bringing delicious bread, brownies, and sandwiches from our junior vendors Bread Headz Food Co (watch this space: you saw them in Middlebury first! ) plus some seriously good vintage finds. Catie from Foxglove and Dave from Sunwood Pottery added their floral, sweet magic. It was a treat to include stalwarts Dan Freeman from Leatherworks, Alexandre from Golden Rule Mead, Zach from PhotoPlace Gallery and team Flora, whose doors were wide open with festive cheer.
Old friends, new friends, neighbors and visitors—it was everything we love about Middlebury. We even had a visit from our deputy town manager David Sophrin and his beautiful blue-eyed husky! Here’s hoping for sunnier skies and more joy on Sunday, June 1st for our next market. Mark your calendars—we can’t wait to do it all again!
