Kelly and I had the treat of a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Ilsley Library with Dana this week — and Middlebury… this is going to be something special. Soaring ceilings, wide light-filled corridors, and a beautiful mix of wood, glass, stone, and steel, with the historic building and its warm paneling woven in thoughtfully. A true blend of last century and the 21st. Inside you’ll find five smaller meeting rooms, three large community rooms, cozy spaces to sit, read, gather, and even a roof terrace. Moments like this remind us how lucky Kelly and I are to get the inside track on projects shaping our town. Also worth noting: Dana and Kelly look extremely fetching in hard hats!
