With the sun shining and fall foliage nearly at its peak, Middlebury was alive with energy on one of its busiest days of the year last Saturday. The Better Middlebury Partnership hosted the Family Fall Fair, a sweet affair which locals, parents, friends and Middlebury students to College Park. This slice of land holds a special place in the heart of Middlebury, and is a perfect spot for a Fall event! The park sits on the threshold of the college, with easy access to Shiretown, Otter Creek Bakery and Ignite, and offers a perfect spot to sit and linger with a coffee, a juice, an ice cream or a sandwich! The fair hosted popular retailers and service providers, including Middlebury Co op, Misty Hollow Farm, Honey Wax, Thistle and Honey Cakes, Green Peppers Restaurant, IPJ, Flora de Manta, Werner Tree Farm, Foxglove Farm, and Lincoln Peak Winery. Everyone contributed to the vibrant atmosphere, and the combination of great vendors, beautiful weather, and the festive spirit made the day truly memorable. Kelly and I had fun meeting and greeting at the Better Middlebury Partnership tent, where we held an informal SHOW & TELL of Middlebury businesses who were unable to join us, including, Chim Chimney, Sparrow Art Supply, Sweet Cecily, Toad Hall Flowers, Hill Farm Vintage, Four Pillars Farm, Haymaker Buns, Little Seed Coffee, Shiretown, National Bank of Middlebury, Adagio Chocolates, The Sheldon Museum, and the Vermont Book Shop. It was a PERFECT Fall day, and we were so happy to see so many faces in Town. It’s at times like these we feel SO HAPPY to be part of such a vibrant town.
