Watching the Bobolinks build their layered harmonies — voice by voice — is like watching a small piece of magic come together. Morgan, Naomi, Tony, Rey, Amiya, Lucy, Alexandria, Anaya, George, Harry, Owen and Regan… an incredible group of young people who clearly love what they do and bring enormous joy to it.
And that joy spilled right into downtown last Friday night.
Their surprise pop-up appearances during First Friday brought exactly the kind of spark we hoped for — spontaneous music, smiles, and people gathering together in the shops. One family travelled with us throughout downtown, much to everyone’s delight. It was youthful, playful, and a full-of-life event. Channel 5 picked up the First Friday story, and we hope they will spread the word about what’s happening here in Middlebury.
For us, this is exactly the kind of connection we love to foster — building bridges between the college and the town, creating moments where creativity, community and fun meet right in the middle of downtown. We have a feeling this won’t be the last time you see the Bobolinks popping up around town. And honestly… we can’t wait for what comes next!
