Some of the most important work in a town happens quietly, behind the scenes — when people come together, share what they’re seeing, and work through the small (and sometimes big!) things that keep a community moving.
This week, Craig Stevens, a representative from the Health Department, Dave Sophrin from the Town of Middlebury offices and Christy Lynn from the Addison Independent joined us alongside local business owners for one of our regular business meetings. The conversation covered everything from parking and garbage bins to the date of the opening of the Ilsley Library. With thanks to Craig for his community outreach. We shared the exciting news that Experience Middlebury will soon be moving into the Duclos Building next to the National Bank of Middlebury — kindly hosted by Alex Armani Munn of the Addison County Economic Development-and Sarah Kearns of the Addison County small business development will be joining us. We are all excited to be on Main St, and we look forward to sharing more soon!
These meetings are informal, practical and incredibly valuable for us all. They give businesses and community partners a chance to connect, raise questions, share ideas and hear what’s happening around town before everyone heads into another busy week, and it helps us stay abreast with happenings, challenges and local news.
