The Sheldon Museum in Middlebury is hosting a beautiful and reflective space this month. The Ancestor’s Altar on their porch offers a sacred space inviting the community to honor ancestors and loved ones by bringing gifts and offerings as a way to remember and celebrate their lives. The altar serves as a collective tribute, allowing visitors to share personal stories and connections, deepening the sense of remembrance and gratitude. Whether through photographs, small tokens, or handwritten messages, these offerings are a meaningful way to pay homage to those who came before us, creating a heartfelt moment of reflection and reverence for all. The altar will be in place until the 3rd or 4th of November.
