Reflection on a Coordinated Town Effort.

What stood out this week in Middlebury wasn’t just the physical sprucing up of Cannon Park and the crosswalks—it was the feeling of a whole town moving in sync. Watching Levi, Brian, Kori, and Amber putting their energy into topsoil, railings, and harvest displays, while elsewhere crews refreshed the crosswalks, it was clear: this is a community that knows how to prepare together.

Every rake of soil, every brush of paint, every seasonal display is part of a bigger rhythm—getting our town ready for the events that bring us together: the car show, the pop up markets, Tour de Farms, Pride Parade, the Maple Run. These aren’t just tasks being checked off; they’re shared steps in making sure Middlebury feels welcoming, vibrant, and alive for all of us.

It’s teamwork in its truest sense—different people, different roles, but one coordinated effort to keep our town beautiful and ready for what’s ahead.
