As we head through March and into early April, there’s plenty happening around town — music, theater, film and a few good excuses to gather with friends.

Each month we pop into the studio at 92.1 FM to share a few highlights of what’s happening around town. We also help put together the monthly radio ads for Middlebury, so part of the fun for us is sitting down regularly to look ahead and see what’s coming up over the next few weeks. There’s always more going on than we can possibly include — but here are a few of our top picks for the month ahead.

St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, March 17 brings a lively mix of Irish spirit to Middlebury. The award-winning band Goitse performs at the Mahaney Arts Center, while downtown Notte and Two Brothers Tavern host festive Irish music with RambleTree. Notte’s celebration also doubles as a fundraiser for the Addison County Firefighters Association — always a good reason to raise a glass.

American Flatbread is hosting the CABIN FEVER series all month!

On March 20, Zach Nugent’s Dead Set brings the music of the Grateful Dead to Town Hall Theater, while the Marquis Theater screens the sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary. That same weekend is also sugaring season, a perfect time to visit local favorites like Foxglove Farm and Breadloaf View Farm.

Town Hall Theater continues a busy spring with The Moth on March 24, the play Treaty: A Play About How to Not Blow Up the Planet March 27–29, the MUMS Talent Show on April 1, and coming soon — Looking for Joe, House of Jazz: Los Songoros, and the community theater production of Mean Girls.

Around town you’ll also find Clay Date Night at Middlebury Studio School on March 27, Wine Wednesdays at the Swift House, and Saturday morning children’s programs at the Marquis.

And of course First Fridays downtown continue to grow — shops open late, music pops up around town, and neighbors gather for a relaxed evening together.

As always, check the Addison Independent and Addison Arts listings for the full calendar — and we hope to see you downtown soon.
