Hot Days, Cool Plans…
It’s 98° outside and the height of summer in Middlebury — but while we’re enjoying creemies, lake swims, and long golden evenings, we’re also planning for the cooler months.
We’ve learned the art (and challenge!) of balancing being in the moment with thinking ahead — making sure permits are filed, posters are printed, social media is buzzing, and our wonderful community partners know what’s coming.
And we couldn’t do it without the guidance of friends like our Better Middlebury Parnership board, The Addison Independent team, Nancie at Sweet Cecily (our Halloween specialist and advisor!) Lisa from Town Hall Theater, Andy @MiddleburyUnderground, Ted & Ted ( Radio 92.1 & Little Press Room respectively!)— and all our friends and colleagues too numerous to list here…thank you for helping us turn ideas into reality…our calendars are already dancing with autumn.
🍏 September 20th – Tour de Farms with ACORN’s exciting new route, rolling past some of our favorites like Sunrise Orchards and Blue Ledge Farm.
🎃 October 4th – Fall Family Weekend (yes, the pumpkins are already on our mood board).
🏳️🌈🚗 October 11 and 12 – Pride & the Car Show (permits, posters, colors, visuals… we’re dreaming big).
🏃 October 19th – Maple Run (get those sneakers ready).

👻 Spooktacular 26th of October – always a crowd favorite, with a few new twists this year, including a SPOOKTACULAR-SPECTACULAR-PARADE again this year!
So here we are, sipping iced tea while dreaming in autumn colors — savoring summer but planning for all the magic yet to come. 🍁
